Private conversation with my father
Today I had a private conversation with my father.
I asked him, "What do you think of me now?"
"I'm proud of you"
"And am I a better programmer than what you were?"
"Sometimes you are. At other times, you suck"
"I think I'm better. I also think I'm a better person than you were"
"You're a better person too. But not if you keep that tone in your voice"
"Thats true, I'm sorry. You were a good father for the most part. I wouldnt be here without you being who you were"
"Thanks for the compliment and well masked insult. I guess you have learned at least _that_ properly from me" (I'm smiling, so is he)
"You think I'll be able to make my children as strong as you made me, Baba?"
"Only if you do whatever it takes for your son or daughter to ask you the same question one day"
